Mathieu Ricard has often been called the “happiest man on earth”. In a past life he was a molecular biologist from France; today, he is a leading figure of Tibetan Buddhism, the Dalai Lama’s official translator, and a profoundly experienced meditator. This Ted talk introduces Ricard’s thoughts on happiness, well-being, and the meaning of suffering. Check it out, it’s awesome.

Have you experienced the “flourishing” that Mathieu Ricard speaks about? Have yet met someone that, despite all the struggles, hardships, and pain that comes with life, can stay serene, grateful, and happy? Why is this?
